She Did It!
Climbing over 51 km and reaching an altitude of 4200 ft in 4 days was the challenge that Natalie accepted, and defeated!
As part of our charity efforts for 2019, we signed Natalie up to face one of her greatest challenges yet… to trek the Inca Trail in Peru.
Classified as Tough, the 9 day adventure included travelling for a total of 48 hours to and from Cusco, facing high altitude in the mountains, constant breathing difficulties, the sickness that came with it and 4 days of 5Am starts with 11 hours of constant climbing… this was not something to be taken lightly.
Natalie said “I am so privileged to have the opportunity to do this challenge and meet all the amazing people I did. We became a family, and the guides not only helped us reach this amazing goal, but opened our eyes to the beauty around us, appreciating everything from the insects which invaded our tents, to the wind that kept us cool. We had a team of Wikies (Porters) which we celebrated helping us throughout the trail, and then they celebrated our return to camp each and every time we arrived… it was a special moment we all shared together. I am thankful to Platinum Care Solutions for supporting me in this challenge, and the Director Jo Barry for being there for me throughout my journey. I am so happy to be supporting Group B Strep Support and raising funds and awareness for this amazing charity.”

Surrey Care Awards Finalists
We are pleased to announce that 2 of our lovey team in Camberley have received finalist positions at the Surrey Care Awards which are being held on 22nd November 2019 at Epsom Downs Racecourse.
Brenda Smith our Registered Manager is up for the Registered Manager Of The Year β Care At Home Award.
Brenda hit the ground running as soon as she joined our team, and from the off has been a dream to work with. Brenda is such a warm and caring lady, who makes a real difference to people lives with a background in complex care and learning disabilities she has never shied away from taking on the more challenging care packages and up-skills her team giving the knowledge and support to deliver excellent care.
Emma McCrory is up for the Frontline Leader Of The Year Award β Care At Home.
Emma has always worked alongside her team and lead by example, while supporting them to grow in the industry no matter what their experience or background is. Emma has a lovely relationship with her team and the service users we deliver care to, and is an all around winner in everything she does.
Emma also recently took home an award at the Great British Care Awards (see more here)
