Its Good To Talk
A cup of tea doesn’t solve everything , but it is a good place to start.
It’s not always easy to talk, because life often gets in the way.
Almost one in two of us keep worries and concerns to ourselves, but a simple chat is a good way to be kind to your mind. That’s why ‘Mind’ have joined forces with McVitie’s on a mission to get the nation talking!
Research shows that connecting with others through conversation is a great way to promote our wellbeing. Why not try one of the suggestions below and and make a connection with a colleague or neighbour today?
- Talk to someone instead of sending an email.
- Speak to someone new.
- Ask how someone’s weekend or evening was and really listen when they tell you.
- Put five minutes aside to find out how someone really is.
- Give a colleague a lift to work or share the journey home with them.

We all experience stress differently in different situations. Sometimes you might be able to tell right away when you’re feeling under stress, but other times you might keep going without recognising the signs. Stress can affect you both emotionally and physically, and it can affect the way you behave.
