15th June 2018
Carers week 2018 is being held on the 11th to 17th June and we are delighted to once again support this incredible incentive.
Here at Platinum Care we are passionate about the contribution carers make to families and communities across the UK. Carers play a vital role in society ensuring that those in need of support are cared for, are healthy, happy and feel connected to society.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our amazing and dedicated Carers for the important, and fantastic, work that they do and let them know how much we appreciate all their hard work and dedication. We are very proud of our team and the passion and commitment you show to our industry.
To show our support for Carers week, Platinum Care will once again be taking part in the fantastic, annual, Portchester Gala! The Gala will be taking place on Saturday 16 June in the Portchester Castle grounds. Come and visit our Stand! We will be having games, raffles, tombola and lots, lots more so come and visit us and join the fun! We can’t wait to see you! It’s a great day for all the family with attractions including a fun fair, parades, donkey rides and lots more fun! Entry is free and it’s a great day for all the family so come and show your support!
Lastly, as you know, our chosen charity we are supporting this year is Vasculitis UK. This is a charity very close to our hearts. Vasculitis UK does amazing work supporting people struck by the debilitating effects of this condition. Joanne Barry and Natalie Dobson have already shown incredible effort, stamina and endurance by climbing Snowden (in the most shocking conditions!) to raise money for Vasculitis UK. Well done guys – amazing achievement! More fund raising events will be coming up throughout the year so watch this space.

Toast Of Surrey Awards
We are pleased to announce that we have been selected as a finalist for the
Toast of Surrey Awards for
‘Excellence in Industry’
The Excellence in Industry Award celebrates a company that has made strides in their field, be it manufacturing, science or technology, while continuing to strengthen the regional economy.
The finalists will be selected and judged on the quality of their products and services, their dedication to sales performance, their commitment to innovation and the sustainability of their business.
With our new technology coming in for our care planning and rotas this is something which ties in well with our existing and up and coming software developments. We will now be able to show full transparency to our service users and their families as well as offer additional support to our workers.
The director Joanne Barry and Operations Manager Natalie Dobson are keen to support the community and have recently developed software to help people find care for their loved ones and hospitals to reduce their delays in transfers of care for better patient outcomes.
When we opened our Surrey office at the start of the year we wanted to replicate the services and standards we are already delivering in our Hampshire and West Sussex branches and felt that Surrey is a great area to support.
We believe that in healthcare it is so important to select the right people to work in the industry and our in depth recruitment procedures are what sets us apart from the competition.
To be a great carer, they need to have a natural caring nature… we can always train you to have the knowledge however to get the best, you need to want to make a difference to peoples lives.
We then support our care workers every step of the way and this means that if we give our team the best support, they will deliver the best care possible to our service users.
The awards ceremony takes place at the Mercedes-Benz World on 27th June 2018
We hope you will wish us all good luck
